My Si was one, my Subaru is. Plus both my parents and my sister drive previous salvage cars. If it was fixed by a reputable shop you shouldnt have anything to worry about.

Well im assuming it was in an accident? The body work is probably fine from macco but the paint is almost guarrenteed to peel away in a year.

What are the dangers of driving a salvaged car? Will it fall apart while you're on the road?

We havent had any problems. The civic went 10 months without a problem. And the only problem my dad has had with his tahoe is the air conditioning not working. But that has nothing to do with it being salvage.

yeah probably, the thing is i've considered buying this car. he's asking 3g's. i'm willing to pay that, but now he wants my totaled civic for FREE. the reason i didnt junk it was b/c he wanted it but not w/o a price. i've even asked him to drop the price of tha accord and i'll give him the civ to compensate but he's firm on the 3000. i lost $600 from buying my car back and after taking the extra stuff off, i'm not letting it go for less than $300

Thats nothing new on a tahoe...make sure you watch out for the alternator. They tend to go out soon... and all the running lights.

Acutally ALL GM SUV's lights are chit anyway. If i had a penny for every suburban, tahoe, yukon, yukon sl that had a burnt out bulb anywhere on the vehicle id be driving an elise.

Salvaged cars are a risk to buy, because you naver know what happened to it. It could have been in a lake, and soon later be rusted up pretty badly. Or it could have belonged to a drug dealer that the cops took it away.
