I'm thinking about buying a ps3 from newegg. They have that thing where you can make payments on it. I normally wouldnt even think about it, but $500 would be a bit much for me to pay all at once at any time cause I dont make that much money at my job. Payments would be no problem. I'm living at home until I get my AA degree out of the way, so no bills or anything. So, should I? (Dont suggest aa 360, lol...I hate Halo)

 

If you can afford the payments, then go for it. You might as well make some credit while having fun

 

If you think your going to use it and its worth the money, the hell why not.

 

build up that credit man. your gonna need it in the future

 

just make sure you know how much your total cost will be if they add interest. and don't do it if there's a chance you'll mess your credit up...


and buy a 360 instead. Forza rules!

 

The prices might drop again after Christmas. My brother is gonna wait it out and buy after Christmas.

 

360 has WAY WAY WAY more than just Halo.

 

thats what I was thinking too, I'll be mad as hell if I buy one and the price drops another $80. And really, I dont like the 360 at all, the controller is horrible to me, I grew up on my PS and have just grown accustomed to the controller. There's only a few games that wont be available on the PS3 that I really care about..actually the only thing I'm concerned about is the fact that virtua fighter isnt online on the ps3

I won't buy an XBOX for the same reason. I really like Halo, its a great game. On XBOX its terrible b/c the controller sucks monkey *****. Put it on PC and then you got a great game. PS3 is a better value at this point than an XBOX I think. With an XBOX you need to pay extra for an HD-DVD player, a wireless card, and online play. These are all things that are included with the 40GB PS3. HD-DVD is a $100 add on, wireless is also a $100 add on for XBOX. The only real problem with the PS3 is that there aren't too many titles out of it. However, I've heard that Sony will be releasing some good games next year. I think hardware vs hardware, PS3 is the better value but 360 does have more/better games right now. Personally I'd rather buy good hardware because upgrading hardware is hard. The amount/quality of games is going to change regardless. And GT5 looks amazing.
