Default Should I be raising an eyebrow?

My car has been making rattling noises up front, morely on the left tire. I could feel it driving, and hear it so I took it in. A car shop said they couldn't find what was wrong with it after inspecting it for around two hours, so I took it to Cleo Bay Honda. They tell me after all day of looking at it that my struts are leaking fluid and need to be replaced.....took from eight in the morning till three in the afternoon to find this out? And on top of that they said the charge to check it out is voided for some odd reason...guy just said don't worry about it? My car has 26000 miles on it and in my eyes and the mechanics should not be having this problem. I think they weren't too sure either what was wrong with it, so they voided the charge and gave me an educated guess....Struts would make since as seeing if either were going out (or both in this case) that the car would rattle up there and ride rougher...but them not charging me and taking that long to asses the situation makes me curious? What do yall think?

So its only a problem while driving right? Drive really slow and see of it still makes the same sound. It might be as simple as the strut. Best you can do is get up under there and inspect the brake system and make sure all bolts and nuts are tight on the suspension.

It might be something loose in there, just take a peek and see if something dangles around.
