RE: Show Winner
The car was repainted 12 years ago for $3800. I pressed my insurance company for the permission to get a full , glass removal, interior removal, down to the primer, wet sanded paint job. They sent out the appraiser and saw the condition of the remaining paint ( car was brutally vandalized paintwise, no metal damage ) and authorized the high dollar repaint. Told the dealer to take his time, no rush. Had the car for two months and flat bedded back to my garage cause it was Winter when I got it back. So, the expensive paint job has proved to be worth it! Only cost me $100 deductible.

Haven't done any "formal" strip racing,. I have spent a few days with my buds G-Tech trying to get some accurate numbers for 0-60 and the standing quarter. The repeatable numbers were good enough for my driving style. I still like doing rolling burnouts from like around 25-30mph. They really take unsuspecting potential "racers" by surprise. The turbo lag just happens to coincide with me being positioned along side the drivers door when I pull out hard to pass! That smile takes a long time to go away. With the stock 215's in the rear , it was a total joke trying to hook up on a hard start or even a rollon. The 295's def hook up better but still will give a moderate burn on the passing manuever!
