eh...yes and no..iv talked to alot of the people and models that work there. and a good amout of them are all go and very little show. alot of them get frustrated with stupid body kit cars and stuff showing up..but hey..its money-

even tho HIN has become a sort of rice fest if you will, not all the cars are horrible. if you look well enough you'll see a lot of sponsored cars e.g. tein, signal, hks etc. (but not always) and some people do bring their cleanest whips to show them off- no kit, not graphics, no decals of parts you don't have, in other words no rice. and if not for the cars, go for the models. they are sooo hot. when HIN goes to boston, i'll be there supporting the models in their endeavor to become famous with fake promises of movie stardom and legit photo ops and lies of Bill Gates being my illegitimate father. that's right, i said it, Bill Gates is a deadbeat dad.

im intrigued by this comment..i went to the nopi finals last year, and while the car show was ricey, what import car show ISNT ricey? the racing portion, on the other hand, was far from ricey...

 

No, you're right. I guess I was a little too general. From what I've seen, the kind of press those shows get is all about who has the most subs or the biggest body kits, with the occasional D1GP or strip car thrown in. I went to NOPI once three years ago and, while quite a few of the cars were spot on, it seems like more and more emphasis is steered toward turning it into a show for show cars and bikini models. If you want to see scantily clad women, go to a damn strip club. Just my $0.02
