Question to members. How fast have you ever gone over the speed limit and if you got caught what was the penalty.

I will start with me.
Speed Limit 55...Traveling 85 = Maditory court apparance . Think i will loose driving privilages for awhile.

 

59 in a 35. Cop let me go.

 

45 in a 30....cited for 60 in a 30....fought the $300 ticket...and won

92 in a 50... gota 192$ ticket. Wasn't worth fighting, just paid it.

 

A long long time ago...70 in 35. The radar wasn't turned on. I told him I was doing 55 and he let me go. Made up for it a year later when I got tagged because the cop heard the secondaries open up. He said I was going too fast for conditions even though I hadn't reached the speed limit yet.

I always drive 5 under. It drives the cops nuts. They will follow me for blocks trying to find something that I did wrong. I love it.

 

95 in a 55 initially $427 by the time I was done with everything ended up with a restricted license for 3 months and paying around 800 for classes and everything.
