Default SPIED: 2008 Nissan GT-R

Source : Leftlane news

Someone has caught the latest iteration of the Nissan GT-R in testing at the "ring" in Germany recently. The car is based on the highly acclaimed GT-R concept revealed this past year. The production version looks to have stayed true to the Concepts lines.

Pricing is expected to be around $70,000 and power is expected to come from a 3.2 liter twin turbo V6 producing 480hp. Its scheduled to go on sale in Japan in the Fall of 2007 and in the rest of the world in the Spring of 2008.

How could someone 'spy' on it when it is clearly posing for the camera?

Well its caught before its been released, whether or not Nissan intentionally wanted someone to shoot it or not, is speculation. The car is spied because it hasnt been released yet.

Nissan didnt want this car to be shot by photogarphers. However they took the chance because people know the Nurburgring is a place where a lot of manufactures go to test their vehicles. The Ring is under survellaince 24/7. You can go online and watch a live webcast of the cars staging up for their laps.

And its open to the public so EVERY spy photographer goes there to try to catch these cars in action. Nissan takes the chance because they know they need to test on this track to compete with the 997 Turbo. Its not like Nissan told the press they were bringing their car there for testing. If they did that they would have had a public reveal. And it wouldnt have been masked.

so it WAS SPIED lol

The pics are covering up the front and rear because thats an actual production image of the GT-R not a concept. The new info is that its on its way to going into production and its NOT powered by a V8. The nose is clearly different than the Concept, with the "black hole" carbon fiber being axed in favor of a more production friendly nose.

The thread was about the pics, not the info, the info has been gone over 10216513165 times. lol Do you understand the concept behind Spy images? You got info that pretty much everyone already knew.

These are actual production photos of the GT-R, its fairly new and i thought Id share

and WTF is up with everyone jacking my threads? Pretty lame.
