Just do it... start off with something that's cooked though. I was the same way until I actually started eating it.

Thanks but I'm fine w/o it. I will stick to my Prime Rib, NY Strips, Burgers, and what ever fattining american food I can think of from a steakhouse.

yea, i like sushi, i was at a local chinese buffet, and i thought i put more chicken on my plate, and it was octopus,(i think) it wasnt squid so...i like most sushi, but not all...

I think the thing that really turns me off is the japanese mayo (i think its mayo with fish eggs[:'(]), ill have to try some sushi without it.

one warning for people who eat it more than once a week or so. Mercury is becoming a problem in ocean fish, and many of the ones that they use for sushi have huge concentrates of it, so you should try to keep the amount of certain fish in your diet fairly low. I dont remember which ones are really bad, but its pretty easy to look up.

i have tried the nigiri type..it was pretty good, but it was cooked also, i havent tried it raw yet...

i am pretty sure tuna has a lot of mercury
