Default Test drive's For Fun!

Sometimes If Im bored on the weekends I'll go down to this huge auto mall and go testdrive cars, when I used to show up in the bimmer the salesman instantly ask if I want to take a test drive, heres a list of the cars I've driven in the past 2 onths
Dodge magnum RT on 22's (not as fast as I was expecting)
RX8 (sweeeeet Car I want one bad now! and it sounds like a jet)
350z(fast and great handling)
G35 ( not as quick as I was expecting, but great interior)
2002 BMW 530i (pretty slow, but great handling and interior)
BMW z4 ( pretty quick, good handling but too small)
06 eclipse. (slow and has horrible blindspots and handling)
Lexus is300, (had good pickup and decent handling)

Its great fun yall should go out and try it, its fun to do if your bored.
Last time I went the salesman asked If I wanted to drive an srt-10 but I was intimidated I wasnt fully comfortable driving a stick then, but now I want too.

heh.

my friends and i have been " car shopping" durring the summers for years.

drive anything from a elise to s2000. the key is to get the to let you take it out for a few hours. then you drive it around where you live and show off to kids you know.

you also gotta look old enough. most places wont even let someone who looks barely 18 do a test drive. especially not any fun cars.

the only one ive driven is the RX8 (dads friend) and the new Eclipse (friends dads girlfriends...auto [:'(]). the RX8 is way smoother than the RX7s could ever dream of imagining. the way my dad put it was you could get it past 80 on the on-ramp and it would feel as smooth as his RX7 did at 25. it had some pretty sweet handling and didnt have the 'climb over the drivers/passengers seats to get in the back' thing going with it. plus it actually had a backseat when the RX7 didnt . the new eclipse is fairly quick, but i dont like how it handles, and the wheel gap is horrendous. i swear when they designed that car they went to grand rapids and looked at fortys civic. (jk man ). i hated the slushbox transmission, but it has the manumatic option so i got to rev it to redline and choose when it shifted, so it was fairly enjoyable. i kept hitting the floor with my left foot beforehand tho...it kinda sucked cuz it doesnt use a clutch. overall id give the RX8 a 9/10 and the eclipse a 6/10 (prolly would be a 7 or 7.5 if it was a manual).

When I was in college my roommate and I always used to go out on saturdays and sundays and test drive stuff. Haven't done it in quite a while. I should tho, theres a lot of cars that came out since my last joy-ridin' days that I'd like to test out.

....I did run the new Si a few weeks ago though, that was a blast

I test drove a 01 eclipse GS convertible yesterday. I was bored and riding on parkside auto drive. I kinda liked it. i threw the top down even tho it was 60 degrees over here. it felt kinda kool the wind rushing through my hair. but i think i'd rather have a motorcycle than a convertible.

I'll drive up in a honda and get looked down apon untill they run my credit and get my info as far as debt to income ratio and then they feel stupid. The dodge dealer(SRT4) and the subie dealer(04 STI) let me take cars out by myself for a whole day from 10am to 5pm

Credit? Bah. I dont even know what my 'credit' rating is nor do I care. I will never ever get a credit card. Hell, I dont even like writing checks.
