Theives...
I really hate thieves. First they take the Honda. Now they took my 18 foot trailer. Whats bad is they did it as I was in the house, during the day! Insurance won't pay for a new one. Will only cover ' current value '. What a rip off. Thing was like new.
But, this one may have a quick find. To get the trailer, they had to drive in the yard. I was able to see their tracks. Obviously a smaller truck, likely single cab. Had very soft tracks compared to my stepfathers 4x4 4door ram. Tires were nearly bald, had a weird track to it. Couldn't see the tracks again until I had almost left my neighborhood. We have a bit of dusty gravel at the entrance/exit of the neighborhood. They went south. I was able to go to the gas station down the road and talk to the 'ol lady who works there. She said she had 3 guys who came in that she didn't know. They had parked over near where the road - where guys pulling trailers park. She didn't notice a trailer or what the vehicle was. She's pulling the tapes right now. I just hope at the least the video shows which direction they went so i can continue to hunt the trail.
Part that pissed me off was I had a hitch-lock on it. They had to have chained them up and drug it out. How did no one notice this?
I redneck locked the remaining two trailers for now. I think its time to design something to lock my trailers up to. Something that I can back the trailers onto, and secure them to the ground with. Lock under the trailer.

Yeah, its about time for a camera system. Problem is I have a huge hard. I'm going to dig a 8 - 10 foot hole. Put pipe in hole. Pore concrete around pipe. Only 8 inches of the pole will sit out of the ground. 4 inches from the top will be a drilled hole, for my chain to go into. With chain set in pipe, i will fill the inside of the pipe with more concrete.
I'll back my trailers up ontop of their own individual poles, and lock them down. Ish wont be stolen anymore.
Adding a sensor to the front of the driveway. When anything passes the sensor, a buzzer will go off. I can set it to be quiet or loud. If this happens again, I WILL shoot first, ask questions later.
As for insurance, they are being bastards. They will cover the current value of a used trailer. Meaning, they will give me enough money to buy a used, torn up POS. They won't cover the toolbox, any tools, or tie downs.
Come on down Josh. i need a driver as I hunt. I have already searched 2 miles on foot.
