Default tokyo drift fooled you? (spoilers if you havent seen the movie)

yea i was readin up on it
the mustang with the "nissan skyline v6" engine in it at the end was actually hiding a ford v8 engine. the only way that old piece of **** could do what it did.. i questioned the realism of that when i saw it..

something else interesting, the evo 9 was interestingly modded. they disconnected the front wheels from the drivetrain.
thats right. turned the evo into a rwd. better for drifing so it makes sense but its so painful to hear them do it.
also they had like 10 of em done this way.
and the 350z.. there was 11 of those all pretty much destroyed by the time the movie was finished.

kinda makes you hate the otherwise decent movie, aye? thats holywood.

well, i knew the evo was rwd, it's too hard to drift w/ an awd when all the tires are spinning, like the d1 subie, it was awd coverted to rwd. but i honestly thought the mustang had the skyline motor in it. it seems possible. i wonder y they didn't just put it in and use it.

They did make a mustang with the rb26 but it wouldnt run very well. it was just easier to use the V8 and get the shots.

Makes sence, i already knew about the Evo, and RedlineZero, it wasn't a V6 the RB26 is an I6

the musclecar guys on Horsepower TV on spike got ahold of the Charger from 2 fast 2 furious. it was basically a POS car that looked good. those cars in the movies are mostly cosmetics...except they did fully build four supras and dress 'em up the same for the original (or maybe they built two of them and then detailed the other two more intricately)
