So after talking to one of our more active members yesterday I realized how many people have never traveled by train before, so I figured we should talk about how awesome trains are. No traffic, no need to be awake, ability to browse HCF while going from DC to Boston or from NYC to somewhere in Florida. I love trains since I commute to NYC from time to time. Driving in NYC sucks, rush hour around NYC sucks... so I take NJ Transit to the city and while on the way to work I catch another hour of sleep...

 

how much does a ride like that cost?

 

My commute to NYC costs me $15 one way... considering traffic and ridonculous tolls it's awesome.

 

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE driving, but there's nothing like waking up for a minute only to see a traffic jam out the window quickly passing by and go back to sleep with a smile knowing you did the right thing. That and it's good for the environment.

 

Does the lightrail count as a train???

 

Subway and Regional Rail doesn't count.

 

Well then...I still have not been on a train.
