Ugh..
ok guys.. im 17 turning 18 in january.. and in grade twelve.. i have no clue what i wanna do when i am done school... i was just wondering tho tossing around some ideas.. if there is people here that work in shops.. like custom car/audio shops how did you get there.. and like what would you suggest me to do to get there.. cause i really have always wanted to work in a shop that you see on tv. like unique whips and stuff like that would be my dream job building custum stuff for cars for a living.. wow i would love that.. any suggestions and advice would be awesome..
most ppl that get jobs like that have connections and/or already have a lot of experience. best bet is to go to a good school(preferably an automotive school), get some real world work experience at like a dealership or wherever and in the mean time look around for those custom shops.
yeah i dunno.. i wish there was a place around here and i could start talkin to the managers and stuff but i think the closest place is in alberta... and well thats a bit of a trip to go and just put in some applications
ok, get ASE certified, work as a mech, and than later on open your own custom shop...since there's no competition in the area
i wish i woulda takin more atuo classes throughout school.. i took welding 10 autobody 10 and 20 and thats bout it.. but i mean its not like i don't know what im doing.. im building a 78 malibu right now slowly... i learn better doin it myself most of the time.. i will hav eto look at a coupleschools for this i think tho.. i was thinkin military for a long time.. but i think i might want to look at other choices first before jumpin on that boat
