I'm not sure if any of you remember me, but I joined the page about a year ago and then joined the Navy. Got sent off to OCS, completed that (lots of fun with Marine DIs!) finished Jr. SWOS (Surface Warfare Officer School) and reported to my ship which had just started deployment. Caught a flight to Bahrain and then a helo out to my ship. Just recently got back to my new home here in VA. I can post a bunch of pics from deployment if anyone is interested.

Anyway, I'm currently in the pipeline to join my ship's VBSS team for our approaching deployment. (It's been in our news lately, but VBSS is Visit, Board, Search and Seizure..they are often the first to approach pirated/pirate vessels) VBSS teams hop on a RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat) and ride on over to nearby vessels and query/board/search them for various things. Generally we are looking for guns, drugs, or anything that can support terrorist organizations. Just finished up Boarding Officer School, now I'm starting up SRFA (Security Reaction Force Alpha) come Monday. It's going to be fun as hell! SRFB sucked..learn some basic take downs with or without a baton, then get sprayed with OC spray and run a self defense "obstacle course".

SRFA is going to kick *** though, it's taught by former SEALs and focuses on clearing rooms, moving as a team to clear rooms, and culminates with team on team engagements using simunition rounds..which are like high velocity paintball rounds..only they are solid and not filled with plastic. Basically strong enough to sting like a bitch and leave a nice welt, but not puncture the skin. Had to buy a full desert camouflage uniform, but I can't ****ing wait!
