+1, i dont think the gti looks anything like the eg hatch...

 

They're not even close... and that GTI is ugly as hell, at least the rear end... (that take from somebody that actually owns & love a VW)

from the side view and from the rear quarter view they have the same lines. Just a slightly shorter nose and different tail lights

 

the GTI looks like "a" hatch . . .

I like them, the new ones look good.

but seriously i like the new GTIs. they look HOT and (according to CnD) they are overall a better car than the new Si (of course...according to R&T the Si is the better car)
