I have a black civic and as you know it shows every little piece of dirt and water spots... Is there a wax out there that'll prevent water spots???

No but what I do with my SRT4 is obvioulsy keep it waxed, then if I run into a puddle, or it gets hit with some rain or what not, i keep a bottle of Quick Detail in my car with a clean microfiber towel, and give the whole car a quick spray and wipe it down.

not really...they'll help shed the water off better but if it rains on your car and dries you'll always have spots. OMG! that could be a total get rich idea! I'd buy it for sure!

Thanks I'll go look into it... It hasn't rain much this summer where I live in texas... But I have a niece and nephew that live with me, and they just got their first water guns this weekend so they were spraying everything in sight, especially my car and now there's all these water spots and hand prints where they were touching it...lol

ouch! I hope it was not hard water from the outside faucets. Hard water spots can be a real pain. I may the mistake of parking by the grass at work and the sprinkers got the fron half of my car! I had to clay and polish the whole front half of the car and glass too.

yeah if i were to wash my car at home..it would turn orange.. out well has this problem with rust.... and its horrid.. we drink bottled.. haha

as for wax... ive always used turtle wax..this new f21 serries(which has been around being called the formula 2100..) is pretty good.... and then eagle one makes a spray detailer that freaking rocks....it smells like cherries..and helps to prevent water from being on ur car.. if nothing else..ive used rainx before on my body parts soo the water runs off well... use rainx for ur windows too...

forget Meguiars and Turtle Wax, they spend FAR too much time and money marketing their product. 3M has the best stuff the average consumer can purchase. If your buying your detailing products from Autozone "SOMETHIN AINT RIGHT !!!" lol
