This was my first accident involving another car or for this time a big rig truck with a trailer......not as bad as you might think it all could have been avoided if a sorta ricer ford focus didnt cut across the median at the last second almost slamming into the car infront of me which in turn slammed on his brakes i had to as well or i would have hit him....but of coarse the trucker behind me could not stop in time since it was a big truck on a sort of incline and he rear ended me....He was quite nice and knew exactly what happened so our stories where exactly alike so he didnt try n stretch the truth to throw it on me or anything.....well 1-i was late for class lol 2- it took a cop about half hour to forty five minutes to get there since there was a fire as well as something else big on either side of us that was priority since we were ok. And 1 dented and misaligned rear tailgate and bumper as well as scratched up bumper.....surprizingly nothing broke not the tail light which once you see the pictures you would think would be almost impossible, nothing I am okay as well but however going to have to replace a few things that i hopefully can find i know i took them off another hatch but yea enough rambleing heres the pics.....*it surprizes even me that there is so little damage in this compared to the difference in size of these cars*...

yea i think so i mean im all right i highly doubt insurance is going to help at least thats what my dad says so i guess ill do the best i can with my metal working hammers and some primer for now since its winter as well as im gonna have to grab the tailgate latches since both are bent pretty good but yea once the insurance sees it im gonna end up spending a good nights work on it tearing it all down and stuff i guess my thought of swapping to a different motor this thanksgiving weekend,so as to rebuild mine isnt going to happen unless a miracle happens.....

 

I know how you feel. A drunk driver rear ended me while I was picking up some friends from the bar. It was one hell of a way to get rewarded for being a designated driver...

Why wouldn't insurance cover it? The fact that the big rig rear ended you is enough to say that he was driving too close to you and did not give enough room for him to stop in time in case of an emergency (which in this case, it was). What did the cop say when he wrote up his report?

 

ouch im sorry to hear that... i was on 405 intersate and i was coming home from repoin all night and it was bumper to bumper traffic and you know thoes guys who floor it and then stop to act like there getting somewhere faster, anyways he rear ended me at about 50 mph and nothing happend to my car just a scrach on bumper god is with you my son
