My best friend calls me up yesterday and told me that he is selling his project car. Ok he owns a 89 or 90 240sx hatchback 5-speed, he bought this car off a guy he works with for 300 or 400. He has owned this car for little over a year i think. This car is a rust bucket, put plain and simple, it drives good and shifts good he said to me a couple of weeks ago before he planned on selling it. I was under this car 2 weeks ago and it is rusted pretty bad, part of the floor board is rotting out and a bunch of stuff has rust all over it. The body isn't too bad, it has the classic fender rust but it isn't all that bad. The worst part of the body rust is where the rear mud flaps were. Those ill probably have to cut out part of that panel and mold something over it.

He said he would sell this car to me for 500 bucks. A little more than he paid for it but since he owned this car he put on a new (used) hatch and has worked on this car alot and im not going to bust his ***** for a better deal. I probably wont make this a huge project for me cause i dont plan on dropping in a SR or a RB ill just keep the KA. Id like to fix alot of the rust and keep this a DD but the reason hes selling it is because he found a bad rust spot somewhere on the car and doesnt want to mess with it. I dont recall where the spot is but if i find time today im going to look at it. I kinda want this car and kinda dont. I know my dad is going to be pissed at me for buying this car but I think its a good deal. What does the HCF crew think buy or pass?

 

too much work, but if you are willing to fix everything up on your own and going through all that stuff then go for it...but for that price its a good deal. IMO.

 

buy it for 500 now, and after F&F3 Toyko Drift comes out this summer, sell it for 1k.

LOL...that much rust ....it won't ever be something you are going to keep. If you wanna buy it..bang around in it and sell it.....might as well save the money and rent something nice for a weekend or two.

hahahah no man me and my team set up cones in this church parking lot where my grandpa is pretty well respected, so we drift in the parking lot when no one is there...the church is right by my house too
