They use orange because it is offset in the forest, and is easy to see when compared to green/brown forest.
If I remember correctly from physics class, red has the longest wave length compared to all the rest of the colors. Going from red-orange-yellow-green-blue-violet then into smaller wavelengths into UV rays thenx-rays then gamma rays. We're unable to see x-rays and gamma rays, so I said Red because it has the longest wave lengthin the color spectrum.

I never said it was all green... Yes! the whole forest is only ONE shade of green (sarcasm)...I meant the camouflage color that is typically seen in the Army. Which are variations of green and brown.

Well technically, the brain "sees" colour if I remember. Wave lengths (aka colour) are picked up by the rods and cons and sent to the brain to be sorted. I may be off, but I think thats what I remember from psychology.
