Tell him to suck it up. Get a Ninja 250r, learn the basics of the bike (going through the gears, getting the feel of the clutch, getting used to braking, etc), and take the MSF course. That way all he did was teach you how to operate it and the rest was left up to the MSF instructors

I've tried to tell him that and he still says NO! like WTF really your going to let me build a race car and repeatedly take it down the track which is just as dangerous but of course to him it's diff and he told me he wasn't teaching me end of story...Soooo I don't get to learn how to ride.

^ No one has to teach you, the MSF course i took was well worth what it cost! I reaaalllly recommend it. I tried to ride my bike the first day i bought it and i scared the **** out of myself. Im lucky nothing happened, but the course gives you so much confidence and you learn to ride like a pro he doesnt have to do crap.

Tell him to suck it up.

And the MSF course will teach you the basics of riding, but you should have an idea of how to work the bike beforehand. I mean, they literally start at step one and teach you operation, but when I took the class, there was a woman there who had obviously never been on a bike before and she had a hard time with the class. She passed, but barely.
