Tonight i was walking through the neighborhood and i seen a Kia spectra GSX, it looks like stock body kit on it. Is kia trying to get into the sport compact scene? Or is this guy just a Dumb@ss trying to pimp out the kia. I have neva been a fan of the Kia so whats some of your guys and gal's knowledge on the want to be sporty kia, is there a stock sports car from kia or what?

 

I think that its the latter, i haven't heard of Kia trying to get into the sport compact/tuner market. I think that Kia is still trying to go for the cheap car that has a good warranty. Kia is pretty much a Hyndai in a different shell.

 

Im sitting there looking at it waiting for the guy to come out so i could ask what the hell, but i dont know man this is albuquerque, ive seen Suzuki Aero that people are trying to build up![sm=badidea.gif].

 

To each their own, we are trying to build civic's. Sure they have a bigger following and aftermarket but the base models civic's that most of us are working with did come stock with like 107hp

 

The one that gets me is the hurse turned el camino.

The thing that gets me is the things the call down south were they take and older car and lift it and put these huge rims on them.Pretty soon it will be a monster truck.

 

I see that all the time. I think it is pretty ugly and messes with the center of gravity. If they would just put nice rims on it wouldn't look so bad but they want 22 or 24. To them it is more looks.

KIA's are about the least dependable car you can buy, but they are very cheap.

 

Kias are not only unreliable but downright dangerous. Look up kia troubles on the net, it's unbelieveable. these things should be banned from the street.

 

are they really that bad? Dont they have the 5 star crash safety rating and a 10 or 100,000 mile warrenty so if anything breaks its under warrenty? I just think they are ugly, gutless, and should NEVER build one up.
