I test drove the Elise. It was a nice car but, it felt more like a hot rod street racer and the stock evo (a FQ 270 basically) felt like a race car. Gimee some stats on this, but youll have a hard time convincing someone who has driven both (well, less of an evo)

Honda NSX, Delorian, S2000, I could go on for ever but that would be the start of my garage.

im sorry but a modded exige will kill that on a circut
i was looking around for specs on the Exige, and despite there being very few, it seems to me that this is an overstatement. i couldnt find any skidpad numbers for the new Exige, but the older ones were hovering under 1.0G. and with a mid 4 second 0-60, i am seriously doubting that it could hang with the FQ400 on a circuit. auto-x maybe, because power isnt as much of an issue, and the small wheelbase and light weight would be a huge benefit. but sorry, on a circuit, my moneys on the FQ400, 2-1.

yeah there is a pretty big difference between the 2 as far as power, however with its less then 1000 lbs and its dual low end high end cams. it makes up for it pretty bad. My money still with the exige. the elise is a diiiffferrrennt story.. amazing car, but it doesnt have the ***** or the downforce the exige has.

oh and i was also talking about a more detailed circut track, the more turns the better cuz straightaways would kill

Exige:

1720 lbs
0-60 in 4.9
0-100 in 12.3
1320 in 13.0 @ 104 mph
Cam change @ 6,200
Redlines @ 8,200
Tops out at 136
Skidpad: .95g
Slalom speed: 64.2

I'm sorry, but that just doesn't stand a chance.

I could build a faster, better-handling 4G hatch with $5,000

The S-class sports aren't really worth the money. They are overweight, overpriced, and underpowered.
