yea it really shows how old i am i learned how to drive back in good ole 1980 when i was "cough 13 cough"
I first learned to drive a manual in my dad's old 70s F150. The shifter was on the steering column. I hated that truck...[:@]

oh yea the joys of driving a 3 speed on the column a lot of people now a days don't know what a 3 speed manual on a column is

i know what that is the good old "3 on the tree"

but yeah i am a neutral guy with the parking brake, unless i am on a hill i use 1st gear or reverse

i always keep my in gear, with the e-brake plus a piece of wood because my driveway is very very steep[&:]

not really fair since you could be parked on a hill i would add that in somewhere if you didnt.:D

Civic stays in nuetral almost always, except on very steep hills.

Jeep needs to be put in gear almost always to prevent rollage.

e-brake is the way..but forsome reason when anyone drives my car, they use the gear without the e-brake

...catches me when i dont check the stick and stall it[:@]
