If anyone is an American Airlines veteran, some help would be great. I have like 21,000 Advantage Miles and want to know if they are just the same as regular frequent flier miles. When I try to book a flight online, it tells me my flight isnt available. When I do it without using miles, its there. I called and spoke to a rep and that didnt really help...she sounded illegal and I found myself saying "what, huh?" every minute.

 

Bleh, I avoid American Scare at all costs. I only fly Delta

 

The only reason I used american in the first place was because my friend's dad works for them and got me a discount on my first ticket. The food sucks and the planes are cramped, but I'm just worried about seeing my girlfriend in october, so it doesnt matter. It would be great to to have some money left so I'd like to be able to spend my miles on a ticket if at all possible, but I'm not sure how they work

 

they require 25,000 miles to get free tickets i believe

 

Just got off the phone...AGAIN...and had to talk to a dumb *** rep..AGAIN. They want $1500 for the same ticket I payed $1300 for the same time last year. They wouldnt give me any discounts or anything for the miles I already had saved up..I needed 70,000 to even make a dent in the price they wanted. F**k AA, Delta fo' life

Edit: Delta charges $1109 for a flight that leaves at a closer city...so screw you, AA

 

Lol, AA has by far the worst service I've ever had.

 

Where are you flying to? The worst plane I've ever had the unfortunate experiance of flying on is Indian Airlines.
