its a 1983 or 84 dodge mirada

a friend of mine had a stock 1983 i don't even remember what engine it had, boy that shows how old i am

 

wow..thats odd...whats even more odd, is that since moving to michigan, ive discovered that one of the fastest miradas in the country lives about 2 miles from me, and i have another guy a few miles away who also has a 12 second mirada....

that is odd, what motors came stock in a mirada? my friends mirada was so slow we always said its not a car its a jeep

 

the mirada had the option of the 225 I6, or a V8 measuring either 318 or 360 cubic inches...but the 360 was only in 1980.

mine is running 12.40s with the current setup...thats with very low compression, running 87 octane...yes, im serious. i have 8 to 1 pistons, but there are some goodies in the trunk in storage during winter...hope to get them on once the demon is up and running.

with the factory engine and trans, my car ran something like a high 16....16.80 or so? completely stock, with the 318, it ran mid 18s...

 

wow 12.40's with 8-1 is real good, i guess my friends mirada had the 225 i-6 at the time i had a 1976 nova with a 250 i-6 and i could blow his doors off well lol 3 cars. oh can't wait to see your demon done keep us posted
