why did you get a civic?
my first car was an 89 ef hatch. i loved that car. it had del sol alloys, crx si bucket seats, and the loudest little system on the block. unfortunately it was on its last leg. now i drive a 5th gen sedan i scored for $750 because the guy owed me money. besides that, they're easy to mod and easy to fix. and i'm not afraid to admit that "that movie" may have had a tiny bit of influence.
The reason I got my old Si was because my mom printed this article from the net about how they got amazing mileage and were safe, and I was just looking for a commuter. I checked it out on the web and found all kinds of stuff, and loved it.
Before that I kinda had a thing against Civics. "Theyre like ***-holes, everyones got one." I kinda thought they were yuppy-ish too, but not anymore.

Reliability, honda quality, inexpensitivity (is that a word lol). Ever since I drove in my friends 99 SI back in 99 when I was 15 I always wanted a civic.

Owned a '92 Mustang GT before.[
] The thing was quick with the mods I had done to it but it seemed every time I finished adding an upgraded performance part that something else FORD would break or in some cases fall off. In the end it was costing me way too much to keep it operational and now that I look back it wasn't all that fast or powerful.....considering it's volumetric efficiency anyway.
I'm thinking if Honda built a 5.0 VTEC V-8 it would have 500hp, right? My Mustang only had 135,000kms on it and was a pile of junk.
Traded it in on the '99 Civic Si which had 100,000kms 4 years ago.....still grinning. The car now has 220,000kms on it and nothing has EVER gone wrong. It's quick but not as fast as the Stain was, but handles WAY better and has better brakes. I can't say one bad thing about my Civc......actually that's a lie, the cup holders suck really bad.
Also, the mods available are incredible. Couldn't be more pleased. I'll have picks up soon.

i have been into hondas for about for about 8* years, i have always been into cars, and hondas have always looked nice to me... since i can remember being into cars, i have wanted a civic...when i was 13-14 my friend had a 90-95 civic, lowered, green. cbf hood, engine mods, i really liked it, and now i am 16, i was looking for a car for me, i couldnt find a decent civic, and i found this really nice jetta, but my dad said lets wait, af ew days later, it got sold, so i started looking again, my dad comes up to me and says " there is a Honda for sale, a few blocks away", and i say i want to go look at it, i was thinkin it was this nice red one, but when we go look at it, it is a "nice" lime green 92' coupe, i test drive it, i like it, although it's an auto, my dad bought it that night, i didnt know till 2 days later when it was at my house, i drove it for a few months, i notice it has some problems, i decide i want to find another that was manual(not auto), i sold it, found a crx, and i plan to have it for a very long time!!!
ever since i was about 11 i wanted a civic. i always wanted the si though and didnt want one if it wasnt an si. an when i was 15 i kept wanting a 99-00 civic si because they were the best looking and were quick. i got it because it is a 1st car, a stick, and i can mod it and they are really reliable cars. plus, i weigh about 115 and am about 5'6 so im a little guy...fits me good
