Default would ya rock it? NOW BE HONEST....

ITS ALIVE.................
hahahaha FINALY got my 66impala runnen and some what road worthy.LOL
had to cut down the starter for it to fit properly cause of the crapy engine block not grinded down properly.... changed most the fluids... ya know its been parked to long when ya have to hammer a screw driver thru the filter to get it off. LMFAO the strap remover just crushed the filter.LOL

and well just a few bulbs swaped or lubed up to work properly... SO HOPEFULLY i wont have any problems with geting a "historical" liscence plate for it..... im all for saving afew bucks with registration!!!!!! LOL

i just hope its gonna be cheap and i can get it.... cause my car needs aligment and tires BADLY!!!!! LMFAO ive had the car for 11years now and well since it was my first car..... ive done some STUPID stuff with it and drove it like a flying tank! NO JOKE!
every rim is bent preaty good and 2 tires are balled and the two others are worn from alignment issues.LOL

blew the original 327 and got to drop in my dads suburban motor 400small block KILLER TORQUE! its almost TO EASY to smoke the tires.LOL THO ive had to much fun with it and drove it to hard I KNOW.LOL cause ive already got that motor smoken alittle as you can see... BUT after its warmed up it only smokes when ya smash the gas!!!!

ONLY ONE DRAW BACK......... its only a powerglide transmition 2speed and no tach so i cannt monitor the motor

BUT enough chat....

WOULD YOU ROCK IT OR PARK IT....????????????

JUST CURIOUS WHAT YA GUYS THINK........
it was my first car... first restration.. first paint job... first engine swap....and not to mention all the fun times and activities in the car. LMFAO

tho some advice for anyone... when storing a car... dont cover it up with a tarp and have it closed up
freaken mold was EVERYWHERE from moisture... and the tarp JACKED up the paint SUCKS but O WELL paints 10years old and has typical rust starting to eat thru again.... and now the paint has been man handled by the tarp constantly rubben over about a years time

and its on the move had to fix the brakes so now it can stop when i want it to! with in consideration of a heavy @ss old school drum brakes.LOL not to mention every drum needing to be replaced.... they just cost to much.LOL
http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...6impala007.flv

tho i wont be driving this daily BUT it will be my toy car again.....
i think for over 40years old i think it sstill preaty nice hell the speedo doesnt even go to 100K so WHO KNOWS how many miles are realy on this car. LMFAO
expetialy after having a stupid punk kid drive it for abotu 6years to hell and back. LMFAO

THO MY BABY REALY NEEDS A CAR WASH BUT.... i dont have upto date plates on it and dont want to risk it out on the road for anything that it doesnt need... tho i do need gas for it.LOL only downfall about driven the old school muscle.....LOL

id really like to see it cleaned up...i cant tell if its dirty, or if the paint is worn..or both?

either way, if i didnt have a couple older cars, hell yeah id rock it. i see alot of simple performance that you can squeeze out of it too..

well the interior is all cleaned up now... sorry didnt take any pictures of it... buts its preaty much all black vinyl.... i love the bench seat...
if ya got a girl in the car without her seat belt on... WELL.... alls it takes is a hard right turn to get her to SLIDE ON OVER to ya... LMFAO and ya i used that ALOT

after i wash the car ill post up some new pictures....... ill do that tomorow... hopefully i got enough garden hoses to string out to the shop from the house.LOL i turned the water off out thier for the winter so it doesnt freeze and bust any pipes and dont feel like blowing all the pipes out again just to wash one car.LOL

my dads got a 68impala 2door convertable SS BUT downfall with his... it was stolen and motor/trany riped out and now its only got a small like 283 v8 i think..... and they also stole the stereo system outta it... and then after the owner recovered the car and got the other motor and tranny put in well........... he put hydrolics on it... and beat it to hell.LOL
my dad bought it for his toy ride BUT after pullen it apart and fixen all the busted bolts and nuts and clips and THEN riped off about at LEAST 1/2inch of bondo all over the car!!! and alot of hammering and more bondo but definaly not that thick!!! BUT after all that work its been siting in our paint booth collecting dust after we did the initial paint job... woulda been a fun ride BUT i dont think it will ever be finished just cause my dads to old to realy do any work longer than 5mins at a time.LOL

main reason i keep the car..... besides sentimental value....
even tho its a 4door its still rare... cause its a hardtop... see no door post between the doors and not upper pillars on the upper doors
only downfall is NO ONE makes parts like weather striping for a 4door hardtop just sedans! SUCKS!!!!!!!
and of course when i painted the car i pulled all the old weather striping and the doors striping got trashed so.... i tried some 2door or 4door sedans..... BUT you can still see the outside thru the door gaps

tho the car still needs quite a bit of work... first... making the radio right! and sounding decent.... second riping off the 2.5% limo tint and static cling tint off the rear window and have it profetionaly tinted 15-20% around...

heres what it looked like when i drove it home about 11years ago
tho picture looks beter than it was.LOL HUGE rusted holes with only a paint layer holding it together.LMFAO and paint had like smear lines thru it from the paint shop wiping some type of never wax again stuff on the fresh paint... needless to say you could see every stroke they made inside the paint!

old school is the only way to make a four door look good, looks awesome though, just clean it and wax it, and post some pix.

i wouldn't mind if you "Throw some D's on that B***h"
