Man I was sitting here loafing around on the net and damn I got hit by 3 virus's at one time. it damn near killed my computer. Taking over my internest options, internet exploror, and getting into my c drive. It was some user in Atlanta that was doing it because I logged the ip so I reported all of it to microsoft and had to do the whole restart my computer from a prev. date thing. Why in the hell do trolls get on a computer with the intent to do this crap, I'd like to slap the **** out of these kind of people.

i no what you mean, about a year ago we got a bad virus on here and it started taking over the internet and doing all this stupid things like **** pop ups and i couldent get into certain web sites and all this stuff...it starts small then gets bigger and bigger,i finally got rid of it by downloading some virus remover off google..not we got some internet security thing thats been working well

 

Whenever that happens to me, I just unplug my wireless netgear thing to shut off the internet. Then I fix it with like HijackThis or whatever other programs I happen to have.

 

Is that why those darn things keep popping up??? lol

 

hmmmm, do u guys use firewalls? I use zone alarm and dont seem to have any troubles, just get lots of friggin spy ware

 

md do you have a firewall in place? If not, I strongly suggest one; hardware works best but software will do the job as well. Most commonly spoofed IPs: 127.0.0.0 - 127.255.255.255; 224.0.0.0-239.255.255.255; 240.0.0.0-254.255.255.255 recommend blocking all. Also recommend blocking TELNET port. Obviously this won't prevent all attacks but it will help.

 

Nortons pretty good. Expensive, but good. Just tends to be a little overzealous when it comes to blocking stuff...Like I can't see the sponsors on the main page!!!
