My first xbox was problematic, but i bought it used i took it back and got a new one, never had an issue since that was like three years ago. I want to get a 360 and i hear that if you keep it well ventalated you shouldn't have any issues with them. I may wait a little longer before i get one though

Most of the problems can be fixed if you aren't afraid to open your xbox. Check out xbox-scene forums, lots of good info on how to fixed some of the problems. Eventhough, the first old consoles are the ones with the most problems, they are the easiest to mod
Man, most of you guys just have bad luck with your xbox's lol[&:]The only timeone of myxbox's took a dump on me was when i was doing my dual hd mod but that was my own fault for no being carefull with my wiring and having the xbox plug in while fixing it[:@]

first time ya get it.... might not be a problem.... unplug everything for awhile like they say and then plug it all back in.... BUT if you keep geting it BACK TO BACK...... its a goner!!!!!!
i JUST shiped my 360 in for repair yesterday! tho i do think it is stupid for them to SHIP you a box to ship it back in... and well i WISH i coulda boxed that sucker up myself and shiped it in myself a week earlier!!!!
BUT ALL AND ALL.......... AT LEAST ITS A FREE REPAIR NOW!!!!!!
my last 360 i just did a walmart switch
LMFAO i thought about doing it again BUT decided WHY NOT just repair it and HOPEFULLY they have the MAIN problem area replaced with beter components and it will run beter when i get it back...

my ps3, before running any system upgrades, played EVERY one of my PS2 games, and all of the PS1 games that i could find.
the xbox has more games (its been around longer, it should have more games) and evidently has a better online system, which im not concerned with...but it also has something like a 30% failure rate, which i consider to be unacceptable. i want to buy a 360, as there are a few driving games that id like to have, such as forza 2, but im not going to buy a system with a 1 in 3 failure rate. i had two original xbox's fail on me, and the one that i have now gives me a hard time, now and then...its obvious that microsoft just doesnt care about the quality of their hardware...as people will buy it because its cheaper and currently has more games.

well i had my 1st 360 when it came out... but sold it for the christmas NUT cases out thier that paid double what i paid for it

On the other hand, I do wish wii had the depth of mature titles that the other systems had...its just the cheapest that's why i have it.

The 60 GB PS3's are probably the best deal you can get nowadays, especially with the whole free 5 Blu Ray deal thing going on. Playstation/Sony always seem to be slow to start with thier systems but somehow they almost always usualy pull it off in the end. The PS3 is starting to get better games,better online content and already has a blu Ray player and HDMI outs.
Wii is just the best bet for the money. Cheap, reliable, entertaining games etc. Sure they may be kid-friendly, but a fun game is a fun game no matter what imo.

well ya but how many people REALY CARE ABOUT BLUE RAY?
i sure as helll know i dont care about it! unless it comes with the KILLER TV... doesnt matter to me at all... id rather have it as a option and keep it outta my wallet!
