So I was rolling around in my 240SX the other day (mind you it has the sr20 in it) and this piece of s**t old crx pulls up next to me with its "R" Racing stickers and fart can. I asked him if the car was fast (just joking around with him) and these are his exact words...

"Well it doesn't have much acceleration until like 4 grand when the VTEC kicks in..."

I just sighed and drove away.

I beg to differ. An SR20-powered S1x moves quite nicely. An S13 with a bone stock swap (running the T25) is in mid 13s with nothing more to speak of. A GT28, a decent EMS and ~15-18 psi puts you in mid to low 12s.

 

Same could be said about a H22 swapped EG Hatch......a easy high 13 second car and with fuel management and a turbo setup in the 12's. I am not hating on Nissan just wanted to point out that the Honda scene is not the only one with nut hugging fanboys.

Nut hugger or fanboy is a term used when a person thinks a certain brand of something is the best bar none even if it has been proven not to be. Like the people that are hung up on thinking that VTEC is a magical power booster that only honda can do right.
