hi i got a 2000 civic which i bought new. now it has 240,000km. last year or about 20,000 k ago it started hesitating and surging under acceleration but runs excellent after 15oo rpm. so i changed the timing belt, fuel filter, spark plugs and wires.i also gutted the cat converter. i got it together and realized it didnt fix anything. i then replaced the cap and rotor and it ran like new. one week ago it started hesitating again, so i changed the cap and rotor again, nothing. i also removed the iac valve and cleaned it, hearing that was a common problem. it fixed nothing. was hoping a good honda mechanic or owner has had this problem and could help me im stumped. since i did the cat mod the engine code for o2 sensor has come up but hasnt affected the car since last year. i dont want to take it to the dealership because the wont diagnois it with the mods that are done. its a 1.6l sohc please help my baby.
