Default 01 Civic LX A/C Problems; Need Quick Fix & Help!!

I have a 2001 Honda Civic LX, with the D17A1 engine in it. I got the car from my cousin in April of 2020 and it had 224,000 miles on it. The A/C did not work when I got it from him.

Upon further research and also having purchased a CarFax report for the car, I discovered that I was not only the 7th owner of the car, but that it had also been wrecked a total of 3 times, the last one causing the insurance company to Total out the car. It was purchased by a Honda dealer from the insurance company at an auction and then resold on the lot.

The beginning of 2021 started with a misdiagnosed radiator change which actually turned out to be the water pump failing. But when the radiator was changed, it was discovered that the A/C condenser was a sad, mangled and destroyed part. We just simply at that time took the condenser out and went ahead with the radiator change, seeing as how it was winter and the A/C was the last of our worries.

I ended up having to change the head gasket on the car not even two weeks later after the water pump failed and head gasket blew. And then not even 5 weeks later had to tear it all back down and do it all over again when it blew a second time due to a warped head that my husband said didn't exist the first go around with this **** because he said it would be fine. Needless to say, I no longer listen to him when it comes down to working on my car.

But that's another story and I am getting off subject.

Two nights ago, I had managed to get my hands on a condenser out of a car that was headed for the scrap yard. I installed it on the car and we went about trying to charge the system. My husband and his cousin were the ones trying to do so because I was busy at the moment and had asked for their help. I went back out 20 minutes later and they told me that the compressor wasn't kicking on.

This morning I went out with a multimeter and confirmed all of the following:
  • Fuse #1 (20A; Underhood Fusebox) [Condenser Fan Relay Motor; A/C Compressor Clutch Relay] does have power and fuse is not blown.
  • Relay #R2 (A/C Compressor Clutch) does have power and the relay itself is good.
  • Relay #R7 (Condenser Fan) does have power and the relay itself is good.
  • The Pressure Switch on top of the Receiver/Drier works and is not the problem.
  • The Single wire plug that runs to the top of the compressor does have power going to it.
  • With the car running and the A/C switch engaged inside the car on the console, the A/C compressor clutch does move in and out as if to engage and to disengage.
Also, I did the HVAC self-test inside the car and received a total of 9 light blinks from the recirculation button lamp which comes out to be the #9 code for: 9 - A problem in the air mix control linkage, door, or motor. (Whatever the hell that might even mean.)

So somebody please, somebody help me out and give me a direction on where to look or search next. I've had the car a total of 16 months now, 3 months of which the car was parked and not drove, not even 1 mile, the entirety of those 3 months. And in the 16 months that I have had this car, I have put a total of 22,000 miles on it in the course of the actual 13 months it has been drove. I've changed the head gasket twice, timing belt, tensioner, water pump and gasket, both drive belts, thermostat, all of the engine gaskets that were needed and able to be changed during the head gasket changes, throttle body, IACV, Throttle Position sensor, ignition coils, spark plugs (twice), numerous oil changes, air filter change, radiator, condenser, A/C line(s), all 4 struts and coil springs, front control arms, front ball joints, front sway bar links, outer tie rod ends and the ignition switch and the starter (twice).

All I am asking for, and I honestly don't believe I am asking all that much for as much as I have put in to this car that has become my baby, is for some freaking air conditioning!!!
