I am going to check my timing again because I hadn't read all of the posts about it first last time and for some reason I didn't get much from the Hayne's because it doesn't say which mark to line up. I read that setting it to 18* btdc is advancing it and that the middle mark is factory.

If these marks represent the marks on the crank pulley then the far left is 18*? Also, there is like this V looking thing sticking out of the block or whatever, it looks kinda like a gunsight. Is this the point of reference? And lastly, I can't really see straight down over the pulley so am I getting a parallax view of the whole lining up process?
