Default 1990 Civic Hatchback Carb Or FI ?

Hello everyone, new guy here. Does anyone know the answer to the question above? Also the civic I'm looking at has 153k on it, seems to be well maintained. Should I expect this car to be underpowered without comparing it to todays cars? Also is the 4sp tranny a drawback, I know a 5 sp is always better. I hope I posted this in the right place???

Thanks,

what model is the car DX? CX? base?

where are you located? (north America? Europe? japan?)

those 2 questions are important in order to determine which engine the car has in it?

As far as the transmission goes I will assume you are talking about a manual in which case a 4 speed manual will not has a high an overdrive gear so you will not get as good fuel economy, but it will still be very good due to low weight and small engine size.

Default I think it's a DX

The car is in North Carolina, have not seen car yet. Most of my driving is around the city, some freeways, not alot of out of town driving. So that said maybe the 4 speed manual might work for me OK.

Thanks, Joe

I believe all 4th gen and up civics in north america are Fuel injection. If anyoen would like to refute this claim feel free.

Default 4 speed manual still???

Thaks fir the info about the car, I'm hoping it's FI, hope to see car tomorrow. I can't see where in 4 speed manual trans would make a whole lot of diffrence in around town compared to a 5 speed.

Edit: I think Tiran is correct. 4th generation Civics are available with either DPFI or MPFI.
