Default 1998 Civic DX Coupe Water in Backseats

Hey guys,

I have a 1998 Coupe that is driving me nuts... every time it rains the backseats fill up with a huge puddle of water. I have the car parked on a pretty steep - uphill driveway and it seems when I park it flat the water infiltration isn't so bad.

I tried a YouTube tutorial which recommends checking the drainage under the wipers but no luck and I managed to crack my windshield ;(

I have a feeling a mechanic is going to charge me like crazy to fix this so hoping I can find a fix.

Thanks

Check under the spare tire in the trunk. Is there standing water back there?

There was some a while ago but I left the plug out so it drains.

You could always remove the back seats and sit in the car while someone outside of the car sprays water in all corners to help you pinpoint where the water is getting in.

...good idea. Or remove seats and take it into a car-wash.

That might work, too. But if you can't find it in time, you are in for another go around.
