Default 2000 Civic LX Motor Mount Vibration

Hi All:

I need some help!!!!

I have a 2000 Civic LX. The car recently developed a vibration, which i suspected to be the motor mounts, however, all 5 were replaced. 4 were done in august and the last rear motor mount, was done a few weeks ago. All seemed fine for a while. The about 2 days ago, it started to vibrate, a little, i can feel it when i come to a light and stop and the car drops RPM to idle speed. I went to 2 mechanics today, one said that it is normal for honda, especally lower end like a civic. the other told me that he has a 2001 accord sedan, that does exactly the same thing, and it typical. I don't believe them.

Any advice? Suggestions? Please help

how bad is the vibration? are you sure it's the mounts? there can be lots of reasons for a rough idle.
have you looked at the mounts to see if they're worn?

It's not too bad. The mounts are all new. (within 5 monhts) I took the yestraday to an independent mechanic by my work, he looked it over, drove it. He said that he did not feel anything weird driving or stopped. He said that it more than likely from the age of the car and what i am feeling is the rhythm of the working engine. (no sure if that is even possible)

What they seem to be saying is it's not supposed to be a luxury car. The people inside are going to notice that the engine is running.

If it gets worse it could be that the IACV is getting clogged up and allowing the idle speed to drop too low, eventually you could have it stalling out. The IACV is an electric valve that admits air into the engine to keep it idling while no one is pressing on the gas pedal. Clogging is quite common and the IACV can be cleaned out.

I checked and cleaned the IACV about 2 months ago, so i know the problem isn't there. But i've been driving more and more and i think the mechanics are right. The steering wheel doesn't shake or vibrate,, i just fell the vibration from the engine. I'm just trying to figure out why.... All my mounts are new
