hello all, i have a problem that i could use a little help with. I need to replace the regulator on the driver side door and i was wondering what years and models would work for me besides a 2000 coupe. I'm sure a 99 would work, but most of the junk yards around here only have older stuff. would a 96-98 work? how about a 92-95? i know it's a long shot, but i don't want to pay $125 for a new one. Oh and mine is an SI if that matters, but i thought 99-00 coupes were mostly the same.

I think that 96-00 regulators may be the same, but please do not rely on my speculation. My recommendation would be that you call the Honda parts department and ask them. Alternatively, you could see whether the regulator part number for 2000 and 1996-8 Civics is the same from an online vendor.

awesome thanks. i ended up getting the new one cuz i couldn't find one used, and thinking about it a new one was probably better anyway. i think it was easier to install too, since it was clean and new. oh and the box did say 96-up so yeah, they're the same.
