Default 2000 Honda Civic Instrument Panel Question

I would like to replace theinstrument panelbulbs on my 2000 Honda Civic as only part of it is lit. Now I have partially removedthe instrument panelso I could access the bulbs. There is a series of bulbs in the back. Some have a brown plug (about 4 or 5 of these) and some have a black plug and all say Toshiba V-2.I'm guessing the brown ones are for the backlight for the instrument panel and the black ones are for the individual indicator lights (low fuel, emergency brake, etc). Can someone confirm this? Also, does anyone know what size bulb goes in here? My friend told me it was a 194 but that one was too big. Thank you for your time!
