Default 2000 Honda Civic Power Outlet broken

I have a 2000 Honda Civic LX. A few months ago the power outlet fell out of the console. It still worked fine it just wouldn't stay in there. Now the power outlet doesn't work at all. The power outlet is plugged into a black box. That black box has two wires connected to the back. One black and one green. The green one is broke and not connected anymore. How do I go about fixing this and will it be expensive? Thank you!

The black box is just a connector. You can replace it with a couple of generic push-on crimp connectors. The plastic of the console is probably broken., either replace it or fabricate some washers that fit the lighter. Note that the lighter socket is two pieces that screw onto each other. The outer shell on the back comes off. Don't remove the small nut on the inside.
