When you push the A/C button to "on" and no cold air comes out, check under the hood with it in the "on" position and see if the clutch on the compressor has engaged. If it hasn't, then either the switch or relay could be faulty or the clutch on the compressor is faulty.
If the clutch has engaged, then I would check out the switch or relay.
