Default 2002 Civ front brake back/splash plate

Hi there,

My 1.4 basic 2002 Civic just failed it's MOT on the thin splash plate behind the front discs having rusted away.

It seems a bit of a crappy part but does anyone know how much of a job it is to replace. It is not covered in the Haynes manual and the Honda parts diagram makes it look like you have to take off the caliper, disc and hub/bearing to get at it?

Is that the case?

Is it a pig of a job? Any guides or links super appreciated as I have got to order the parts and get it done by the weekend.

Dean.
