Default 2002 Civic EX - ATF Flush - ATF-Z1 or something else?

Its time to flush the automatic transmission fluid in my 2002 honda civic ex. Do I have to use ATF-Z1 as specified in the manual or can I use something else that is less expensive and easier to get?

just a word of warning...i've heard that flushing can be bad for transmissions. that's why i just drain and refill. but i'm not sure how valid that rumor is.

My idea of a flush is to drain it, refill it, drive around the block. Repeat process 3 times.
