Default 2002 honda civic lx Ac Compressor

have an AC problem
for 3 days AC only blowed cool air in the morning. warm air mid day and on
Seems like the compressor is only working when it feels like doing so
took it in to monroe and they discharged/recharged the system. cool air 3 hours.

I took it back today and they said first the compressor was not kicking on then it did. cool air. On the way back to the shop it stopped blowing cool air again. The tech checked it out again and it was blowiong cool air again.

It is holding freon that they put in on friday. They believe it is a wiring issue. Has anyone seen this before?

More likely a clutch gap issue. Test if power is reaching the clutch wire (the one that goes up under the compressor pulley) when it's supposed to be on but isn't. If so, take some of the shim washers out of the clutch. You can do this while the system stays charged.

If the condenser fans don't work either once the system quits making cold air, it's something else. In that case, check the thermal switch on the compressor, those were a problem part for opening falsely.
