Hi everyone, my name is Pat and I am new to this forum. It is jam-packed with info and I am grateful for it. I need some assistance with my problem.

I have a 2003 Civic LX with a driver's side door lock issue. I cannot get the key inserted into the lock. The key goes in a fraction of an inch and then jams up. The problem started slowly and over time got worse, it's like the cylinder is misaligned or something. It's such a pain to go around to the pass side and reach over to flip up the lock in order to get in.

I have been researching on this forum and found some answers. It looks like I need to order the CYLINDER, L. DOOR part. My question is does anyone know the difference between these 2 parts?
06725-S73-A01 CYLINDER KIT, L. DOOR
72146-S0X-A51 CYLINDER, L. DOOR
Both are listed on www.thehondapartsstore.com. I don't know which to buy.

Before replacing, you may check whether spraying some lock lubricant into the cylinder fixes the problem. I think you can get lock lubricant from Walmart, Sears Hardware, or an auto parts store.
