2003 civic ex brake change question

Default 2003 civic ex brake change question

ok so i was changing my brake and the bolt holding the caliper wont come off when i turn the bolt the little metal piece on the other side of the caliper bolt turns with the bolt so it basically turns no where i tried to vice it and turn the bolt but it still spins and it seems like previous owner tighten the bolt too much... help?

If you're holding the slider pin and the caliper bolt wont unthread from it, then you need to cut off the bolt. Your choice, sawsall or hacksaw. I'd go sawsall.

Obviously, youll need a new slider pin.
