Default 2003 Honda Civic A/C Problems Need Help

Recently my A/C started having some problems. Anytime i take a drive for longer than 10 or 15 minutes, my AC will go on and off on and off every 5 minutes. It will blow freezing cold, then all the sudden it will start to blow the outdoor air temp. Then i will feel it kick back on and it will get cold. It started doing this on a drive from Arizona to California, and has been doing it since. I can probably figure out how to fix it myself i just dont know what the problem might be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick

Measure the refrigerant pressures on the low and high sides and also check the pressure switch circuit:

Make sure the condensor fan is working.

Could also be the compressor relay or clutch, or the compressor temperature switch.

It would help to diagnose if you were to drive until it is not cooling, then pull over (leave engine running and A/C button on) and check these things under the hood. Is the condenser fan running? Is the compressor engaged? Is the pipeline from the evaporator (firewall) back to the compressor warm or cold?
