I have had my civic for four months and three times the engine has died on me while I was driving. It happened when I pushed in the clutch and began to down shift. The engine just shuts off. It starts right back up when turn the key but it sucks when it happens because I lose steering and braking. Has anyone else had this problem.

 

2006 - would that be something that the dealer would fix -
of course, it is intermittant, so no one can find anything.
But did you ask at the dealership?
