2007 Civic EX - Stereo Welcome Message
I recently got a 2007 EX (no navigation) and I'm loving it. But one little thing that's been irritating me is how the "Welcome" message is not appearing on the stereo when I put the accessories on or turn on the car. I know I saw it during test drives. I checked the manual and it said to hold the Tune button and then the Power/Volume button and then it'll display the character you want to change using the *****. The only thing that happens though is the radio comes on. There's no blinking cursor or anything to change the characters. And like I said, the default "WELCOME" message isn't even appearing.
I'm sure there's some small silly thing I'm missing, which is why I'd rather embarrass myself here before I go talk to the dealership about it. Fortunately though this has been my only problem.
Thanks all.

I just bought the Civic LX, and have the same issue. Has anyone found a fix for this?
Thanks for the help!
Al
I actually went to the dealer to get this figured out. They had no idea at first, but apparently only coupes have this 'feature' (I have a sedan). The coupes have a different stereo system, even though the radio looks exactly the same and they both can display words.
