2010 Civic LX Roof Moulding deteriorating
The car has spent most of the last three years outdoors. A month ago I found "strings" of rubber breaking off from the roof molding. This is the same molding strip that covers the side of the windshield. Today while detailing I found a strip broke off beside the windshield.

Questions:
1. Will these allow water leaks if I leave them as is?
2. Is the replacement DIY w/o special tools?
3. What might a body shop charge to replace these? They retail at over $100 each side.
