Hi all I am new to the forum . I recently purchased a 2011 Honda Civic Hybrid sedan. The battery seems to hold its charge but it only assists when I am accelerating . The car doesn’t go onto the electric motor at low speeds or when decelerating or autostop at the lights etc . I thought that was the whole point of a hybrid . The fuel consumption is sitting around 23 mpg for the city which also seems high for a hybrid .

is this normal ?
